To my mind, the main difference between stock investment and gambling...

1. a. In gambling, the win or loss is determined within seconds or minutes...

1. b. The house always has the odds in their favor.* (unless you're cheating)

2. a. In investing, the ecstacy or agony can for last years.

2. b. In investing, the odds can be in your favor*

*assuming you're not using the 'dart method', you're doing DD, and that the company leaders aren't lying.
