I agree with you that events close to the election could influence it. AQ or ISIS ( or an (R) false-flag attack ) could scare Americans enough to even elect the Donald. I don't think this Paris attack will even be brought up a year from now. I've been watching Ken burn's 'The Roosevelts'. It's excellent. Teddy was hardly only the progressive icon he's being touted as nowadays, although he did a lot of good things in office. He was a racist who believed blacks were inferior, and after leaving the presidency, spent a year in Africa slaughtering a sickeningly large number of elephants, rhinos, lions and giraffes. To be fair, it was a different time.
