What do thread participants use to buy/trade bonds? Fidelity, Etrade and Interactive Brokers seems to be the available options for the DIY investor. Based on a customary look, Fidelity looks best. I tried to buy bonds a few years ago using IB but never got any fills (sitting in the middle of the bid/ask spread usually). It looks like you just have to pay up with bond and buy them at the ask.
