I hate dusting. But I'd rather dust than argue on SI :-) And I don't usually think of myself as young- since I'm around teens all day.

I use a Sunbeam breadmaker. I've been through a lot of them- and the Sunbeam has been the best. It's so easy- and cheap. It will go on sale at Amazon for around 58 bucks- it's hard to replace the teflon bread insert for less than 20. So it's (imo) a great little machine. I bake bread at least 5 times a week- sometimes more, if my kids are feeding friends, or I need to bring a hostess gift, or I have to make lunches for students (sometimes they come in to class to work- and we have a short lunch, so they can't get to our cafeteria to get their lunches). It has a 1.5 lb setting and a 2 lb. There are breadmakers that will make larger loaves, but I prefer to make many small ones- since I use no preservatives, I want the bread gone in a few days- and it's usually gone in one- I get about 12 slices (I hand slice my bread)

I've got years of experience with bread mixes and recipes- and I'd be happy to share a "best of" list with you :-)
