"Intermittent electricity isn't the same as reliable electricity."

Quit your sniveling. People who rely on green energy find it very reliable.

"BTW it also doesn't claim they're smelting aluminum with ONLY solar and wind power produced electricity."

It doesn't claim they aren't either. However, why should anybody only use sun and wind, when water and geysers also make electricity? Norway ( home of Norsk Hydro) is almost all hydropower and tide.

Hydro is a global aluminium company with production, sales and trading activities throughout the value chain, from bauxite, alumina and energy generation to the production of primary aluminium and rolled products as well as recycling. Based in Norway, the company has 13,000 employees involved in activities in more than 50 countries on all continents
