ASP should be relatively flat this quarter and margins should
be stable to up as COGS goes down.

Longer term the continued trend of lower ASP's will continue.
IDC expects that todays average ASP (all form factors) of $2215
will decline to $1995 by 2001. I expect it to decline a little further and faster than that... say ~$1900 by 2001. Today, Dell's
ASP is $2650... I look for that to decline to $2100 - $2200
by 2001. The real key is server and workstation growth.
Should they do exceptionally well here, Dell's ASP's could be
essentially unchanged in 2001.

In 1998, IDC expects sub-zeros to come in at around $500-$700
and for the average Desktop ASP to be $1843. What does
this tell us?
