Ok, let's go. Who has a favorite stock which they believe will be "hot" in 1998????? How about some big names like Cisco Systems (csco)? Micorsoft (msft) or Dell Computer (Dell)??? Or Peoples Bank (pbct)? How about good ol Tootsie Roll (TR)? Check out the chart on this sweet stock. Have you looked at Guidant Corp (GDT)? Value Line has picked this for a Timely Stock for the next 12 months. Do you agree????? The smart people at Oakmark Funds like Tele Communication Liberty (LBYTA), and Cablevision Systems (cvc). It was mentioned as a holding in their last annual report. Or do you think we should park our money in a mutual fund and let the pro's do the work?? How about the no load Oakmark Select Fund, up over 40% year-to-date. If you can't tell I'm trying to start a discussion... Jim
