But, even in the home I don't think people should be able to have automatic rifles or machine guns.

I also don't think people should be able to carry guns in public without having to go through some very severe scrutiny.

I assure you if someone open carried a AR15 slung over his back, he'd get a whole lot of scrutiny

Also, people that own guns should be required to carry insurance on liabilities possibly caused by those guns.
