Hi Paul,

What's your opinion on Wall Streets current obsession with Korea and the value of the won? A lot of tech companies have factories in the Asian countries that are getting hit the hardest. Profit margins should be huge due to the lower cost of doing business. Korea can't be a big enough export market to make any noticable impact on earnings and imports will be mostly from US factories. China and Japan which are large markets, have seen a less than 5% decrease in currency value from a year ago. I can understand Asian banks going broke from windfall profits being taken out of hedge funds but how can that be bad for the US companies that are taking the profits? From what I've read US banks now own controling interst in Asian banks and insurance companies. If this is all about earnings, a lot of US companies should be set up to cut a fat hog. I am absolutely mystified by what's going on. Am I the only lemming that doesn't feel like going swiming or is the water really that nice?

Regards,

Don
