Any attempt to reduce the volume of oil used is only kicking the climate change can a little further down the road. Oil has been in the ground for millions of years without any negative effects. What is causing the problem is the population explosion which uses fossil fuels in order to support the numbers.

The massive amounts of Cattle being raised to feed the masses also contributes damaging gasses like the burning of oil products.

They will never get a permanent control on climate change without controlling the human population which is causing it. Instead of offering assistance in controlling reproduction rates in over populated areas where they are either starving or at war. We either have do good organizations scrounging money and foods to support their overpopulating habits. Which is the root of their circumstance.
Or we import masses of them here. Relieving the pressure so they can multiply again. While setting ourselves up for the same eventual outcome. In turn aiding mankind along the path of self destruction.

Control the World population and you will control Climate Change. There is no other permanent solution.

I realize this philosophy will not sit well with the bleeding heart community. But it is better than wars that kill thousands. Or allowing the likes of Rwanda in 1994 to proceed. The genocide of a million +.
