It depends on how the poll question is framed, and how "liberals" are defined..

But such a statistic does not surprise me if liberals are seen from a political lens; Democrats are a broad tent. And Democrat does not equal liberal.

Wasn't the lack of closing the borders going to result in a US epidemic of Ebola? And remember the vitriolic emotion-based attack against the scientific reason of the CDC regarding the spread?

Anything that can be turned to mass fear - to close the borders-- gets a rise out of the right sending fear into the mainstream. Like three year old Syrian suicide bombers coming soon to your neighborhood.
