Without knowing what you said, I can't comment. If you attack someone personally including as making fun of their handle or their humanity - you generally get banned. Michael Savage and Trump have set a nasty precedent attacking people they don't agree with. Savage routinely calls people vermin, rats, and perverts... We all know Trump's smears. If you attack ideas of people, you probably won't be banned in a good forum. Throwing turds is different than spirited argument. Banning turd-throwing fairly universal in civilized forums. Sioux Nation states the rules for membership up-front. It is for Democrats. In optional attendance life their are women's groups, men's groups, Chinese groups, gay groups, OBGYN groups, Jewish groups etc. Some forums are for wider and some allow for completely unfiltered debate. We are adults with choices in such matters, plenty of space.
