Germany registers 80.7 MW of new PV systems in October Germany registered 1.24 GW of PV capacity in the first ten months of 2015. © Michael Kottmeier / photon-pictures.com 1.12.2015: Germany registered 4,513 new PV systems with a combined capacity of 77.64 MW in October 2015, according to new figures from the German Federal Network Agency. Including 3.1 MW of ground-mounted PV systems that were included in the register for renewable energy installations from Mar. 1, 2015, the month’s PV capacity was of 80.75 MW. This is down from 127.4 MW in September and 110.0 MW in October 2014. The newly installed PV capacity for the first ten months of this year was of 1,241.8 MW. In the same period of 2014, the country registered new PV systems with a combined capacity 1.85 GW. From January through October 2013, Germany registered 2.92 GW of new PV capacity, and in the same period of 2012, the country added 6.83 GW of PV power. Germany’s cumulative installed PV capacity reached about 39.48 GW at the end of October. Taking into account the current growth trend, Germany should install about 1.48 GW of new PV generation capacity in full year 2015. This would be down 21.6% from 2014, when the country installed 1.898 MW.
