I'm not so sure. Many pincher plays are simply dying or very weak companies that are so oversold they'll eventually start to bounce. Those are inherently going to fall and actually may be better shorts off the rebound moves than they are money makers for a solid bounce. This thread is littered with stocks that either no longer trade or are WAY below where they were first brought to the thread's attention.

Similarly, there are plenty of decent companies that have been identified at relatively low points in their charts which have rebounded and were excellent long term buys. I go back through the thread now and then and look at the different names we've been kicking around. I think a significant portion are in the dying or very weak category. They were all much better short plays if one is looking longer term!
