Brian, the larger discount probably reflects the upcoming release of 266mhz. Think about it--they need to entice people to buy the 200 and 233 and price will help--sort of like dropping the price on leftover 1997 cars to make room for 1998 model. By the way--just built my own system--asus motherboard and a K200. A few weeks ago when I bought this, the 233mhz was quite a bit more expensive than the 200mhz. My reasoning was that by buying the 200,I could afford to throw it away in 6 months and upgrade to a 266 or higher. Had I spent the extra $ for a 233, I would be less reluctant to regard it as a throwaway--yet I would be stuck with something longer than I wanted to. The K6 is great for the under $1000 set and a group of people like myself that like to upgrade chip technology frequently. I consider the K-6 great and Cyrix is not even a contender.
