I may be wrong, but I think the Dataquest research (and I think I also saw
confirmation from IDC) was for desktop/servers only and not portables or
PICO type products. A few quarters ago (when I followed PTEC closer),
PTEC's revenues were split about evenly between desktop/server and
portable sales. Any idea how AWRD's product mix differs from PTEC's?

Also, what about margins? Does AWRD get less per unit than PTEC, causing
total revenues to be lower for similar unit sales? Additionally, when was the
Dataquest report? It seems that it was before PTEC BIOS was being used
in volume by Intel.

One could speculate that PTEC simply ignored what they considered inaccurate research, but to me that indicates sloppy marketing if nothing else.

Is Vobis still a large part of AWRD's business? I heard that the IMF expects
Europe to lead the world economy next year. What was the nature of the
shortfall to Vobis last quarter? What about recent contracts with Compaq,
Motorola, etc.?
