In the Sunday Personal Technology section of the Atlanta Journal Constitution a week ago, there was an article to the effect that under $1000 PCs are not taking the market by storm as most of the media suggests. I quote part of the article:" A report to be issued Monday by a market research firm in San Francisco indicates that nearly seven of 10 consumers would prefer the latest technology over a lower-cost, but less sophisticated version. According to the New York Times, the ODYSSEY report also found that consumers who are likely to buy a computer in the next 6 months have an even greater preference for performance - 77 percent. Of the households indicating a desire to buy a PC soon, 78 percent thought they would pay more than $1000 and 45% said they would pay more than $2000."

This seems VERY positive for INTC. Is ODYSSEY credible ? Has anyone else heard of or seen this report ?
