Still trying to figure out that opening scene, although there are several ....aw, I better not say. Trying hard not to be a spoiler. I'm sure there is symbolism, just like the pink teddy bear floating in the pool in Breaking Bad.

I wonder how your viewing experience will be watching 2 before 1, since they are connected in a prequel kind of way.

I'm all caught up and the last few episodes have been absolutely incredible! Hang onto your mittens!
