I have always said- belief fills up the cracks for some people, who can't tolerate cracks. I personally find the cracks in the universe fascinating- and I'm ok leaving them unanswered, rather than filling them with pink space bunnies, or gods. I'm sure it's wiring- just like pareidolia is wired in. Some people are just really at the mercy of their genes. I pity them, but they also fuck a lot of stuff up.
