Great analysis on Asia.

I believe that very few people really understand the significance of what's happening. This could take years to play out, but with the speed with which Korea seems to be deteriorating we may get some fireworks soon.

Japanese bank balance sheet problems with domestic real estate loans means a meltdown of their Korean investments is disastrous.

I believe that the growth of US money supply over the last couple of months is Greenspan attempting to keep the world liquid in the face of evaporating asset values in Asia.

Probably all Greenspan can do, but it should only delay the inevitable. Possibly haunt us in the future to boot.

Interesting that the Japanese are apparently not printing money, and they can afford to.
