The GTL+ buffers on slot1/socket8 will scale to higher frequencies much easier that the S7 buffers will. If you can't see the difference than you don't know the difference.

Interesting how you used this analogy. Do you remember who lead the assult on microchannel? It was Intel and Compac with the introduction of EISA. Intel followed this up with the introduction of PCI. The continuation of S7 will be lead by such powerhouses as OPTI & SIS. Don't hold your breath.
