You misunderstand me completely santhosh. I have no problem
with cultural diversity. I have no problem with racial diversity,
sexual diversity ( in fact, I LIKE sexual diversity ), or even
species diversity. Chimps make wonderful employees.
What I DO NOT LIKE is anyone telling me I have to behave
a certain way, think a certain way, talk a certain way, etc.
because it offends their overly sensitive little sensibilities.
My remark about equal opportunity was based on the sad
REALITY that many government agencies are overloaded
with personnel, many of them incompetent and/or dishonest
because of the affirmative action programs. Like it or not,
the politics of race played a big part in creating the situation.
I believe that you should get a job if you are qualified for
the job and there is a true need for the job, regardless of
your ethnic, cultural, etc. background. Not because you
belong to the group that is whining the loudest and getting
the most political mileage out of being the latest darlings of the
socialists.
And lest I be accused of being a redneck republican
capitalist swine, let me say that I'm just as pissed off at
them as I am the liberal whale-lovers.
