Jlallen, But I think the spin on what Trump said is as lame as Zux....making sure we know who we are letting in to live among us is very prudent... We will never have an idea which of them want to kill us.
I work with a lot of Muslim-Americans, and just last Saturday I went to our company's holiday party. It could have been possible that what happened in San Bernardino also happened at my party, but it didn't because 99.999% of Muslim-Americans are just fine.
The couple who went on their rampage in San Bernardino were by all accounts living the American dream. They had an above-average salary, living very comfortably in southern California, and even gave birth to a baby daughter. (So much for Obama's claim that if you give these young Muslims jobs and a hope for the future, they'll turn away from jihad.)
How was ANYONE supposed to know beforehand that they became radicalized, especially when they were adept at covering their tracks?
That's why, more and more, I advocate just going to the ISIS caliphate and taking them out once and for all. It might not be easy, it might take the full force of the American military, and it might make for the strangest bedfellows (Putin, al-Assad, etc.), but that's the surest way to stop this madness.
The other way is to "contain" them and hope that eventually they'll self-destruct, which is what Obama and a lot of liberal thinkers advocate. Peace in our time.
