It takes months to be clear from the effects of long term usage. There is also a cultured component inherent in rat's generation; even if someone decided to open their minds to the possibility that some conservative ways of thinking have merit, the cultural influence persists unless the individual were to go through some drastic experience that caused or allowed them to freely consider all sides. I don't expect rat to suddenly start taking conservative views under serious consideration anymore than I expect some of the extreme right here to start appreciating some of the lib views have merit.

I like rat, even though I don't agree with his rigid adherence to far left. I like more of the rightees here but not all of them. Doubt anybody cares who I like here but there it is anyway. I don't support extreme views on either side.
