To All:

I have Windows 8 (much to my regret). Lately Microsoft has decided I need Windows 8.1. They keep trying to put it on my computer and it always fails. The problem is every attempt jams up my computer for a half an hour. Is there any way to stop this nonsense? It always starts with a 'We are going to upgrade your computer to Windows 8.1' type message and the only options are time related. Do I want my computer to lock up now, in 4 hours, 8 hours or tomorrow.
