Bad news for US Veterans. Veterans, current members of the US military and government workers who have been contaminated by traveling to or being stationed in Syria, Iraq, Iran or Sudan since 2011, will likely soon have to apply for a travel Visa from each country in Europe or Asia the want to see while on vacation or business.

Only those with a diplomatic passport will be exempt from this requirement. Americans who have not traveled to or been posted in these nations can continue to travel visa-free to Europe and Asia.

The reason is Congress just passed a bill which would require citizens from these 38 nations obtain a Visa at an American Consulate if they have traveled to to Syria, Iraq, Iran or Sudan at any time since 2011.

Veterans, current military and government officials of these allied nations who have been contaminated by traveling to these nations can be granted a Visa by the United States Consulate in their home country, but they won't be able to travel without first obtaining that visa.
