He arrived to give one of the keynote addresses to big technical meeting at which I was one of the chairmen.....when we sat down to lunch he wanted to know what he had talked about the year before.....ie he was totally unprepared and was intending to wing it....was a pleasant enough guy but being unprepared to talk showed when he did talk.. Many famous people make speeches or talks using material they've used for years.....heard one of he original astronauts one time and his slides were so old they had yellowed..a terrible talk also.
