I'm not so thrilled about the wording of the anouncement: "Contrasting with the 8 to 10 days normal duration of untreated herpes episodes". It doesn't say placebo, I'm assuming 8-10 is with no treatment whatsoever. I wish they would have said what the results were for the placebo treatment, it's possible that any old cream + psychological factors could decrease this time significantly, although unlikely down to 4 days. I think I am justified in being cautious after the "placebo" had healing powers in the previous phase III study. Anyway, I hope my supsicions are unfounded but I think the press release was intentionally vague. If I become convinced that everything's kosher I'll probably add to my position, although I have enough that I will make a lot of $ if it does hit double digits.
