Sure people can find anything to be a provocation, or claim it as one whether or not they really see it as one, but there was no legitimate provocation for such an attack, certainly no justification. Someone might shoot you if, and because you give them a funny look or you pulled in to the parking space they wanted. In a sense your action provoked them, but it would still be reasonable to call it an unprovoked attack, and definitely an unjustified one.
