this is exactly why The Score (scr.v) launched their new daily fantasy sport product yesterday under a different model whereby there is no entry fee for the consumer and in the initial stages they are not even putting advertising on the webpage/in the App. This allows for a much wider audience to get access to the product (free is always an incentive!) and there are still real prizes. The company will eat the losses in the short term from putting up the prize funds but will attract a much larger audience which is what they are after until such times as the US puts in actual regulation for this industry - and it will happen. Too much tax revenue for them to miss out on otherwise.
