Euro gasoline prices were an Obama goal. His biggest failure thanks to America's o&g industry. He and the Dems wanted massive gasoline taxes (still want them). They didn't enact them w/o Republican support (Obamacare they passed on lies - hard to make up lies about gasoline taxes being good for Americans) because they didn't want the voters to punish them.
