The US$ seems to be doing just fine. Where's the problem? Their job is to keep the US$ in good condition and make profits from it for the owners of the US$ [which is not the people who are currently holding US$].

Perhaps you mistakenly think that the Chairman of the Federal Reserve is like a USSR totalitarian central planner in charge of everything. No they are not. All they do is change the interest rate at which they'll lend money and whether they'll produce it in "quantitative easing" or other such manipulations of its value.
