I'll take a stab. My guess is $110. For one thing, I think that MSFT is losing some focus, due to all of the battles that it is fighting -- legal, political, and in the court of opinion. I think that Windows 98 will only be further delayed, perhaps until third quarter, partially due to the ongoing legal troubles that may require a non-integrated-browser version, partially due to attempts at putting in more features to justify it as an upgrade to Win95. The doubling of the code base for NT will push back NT5.0 release until second quarter of 1998. This will be problematic, as MSFT keeps indicating that NT is the future of MSFT. Furthermore, Asian sales of high tech in general will probably be down. Anyone know what percentage of MSFT sales is into Asian markets? Moreover, the general perception will be that something will indeed come out of the legal challenges to MSFT. Uncertainty as to how major the effects will be will help keep the stock price down. However, strong sales due to the holiday season and continued competition for the low-end market, bringing ever cheaper PCs to market will drive up sales overall, keeping the stock from dropping severely.
