Massachusetts now requires that all bar applicants have a high school degree, so in 1921 Portia founder Arthur MacLean establishes a summer school where pupils can earn their GED in just nine weeks. That's a tough one, jlallen....now you gotta have a high school diploma to be a lawyer. But you can get a GED. I betcha most of those New Hampshire judges gotta high school diploma even if they are just "rubber stamp" as you said.
