Hi Joe,

The margin account portfolio currently is four choices . . . usually on margin after second addition . . cash/ira account is still eight positions . . . might have the same stocks in both but rare . . use same selling rules for both but set the initial stop loss for the margin accounts a little tighter due to dollars allotted for each buy . .

agree with the idea of doing what you are most comfortable with . . paper trade other ideas until you are comfortable with them and believe they are better . .

I think most brokerage's will continue to provide stop order and good till cancelled abilities . . . they'll make the adjustments internally and process them as market or limit orders when they need to . .

personally I feel price alerts are better . . you can review the situation and then take action if need be . . .folks like us can't beat the high frequency traders/algorithms to the punch . . most of the time there are better fills when you wait . . patience is a benefit more often than not . .

my thoughts for what they are worth . .
