Checking in from the Virgin Islands! Ugly market...I leave for a few days and look what you all do! Geez. lol....hope everyone is having a great week....

Irby I just wanted to let you know I changed my mind about wha I think of Bloomberg. One of my buddies down here (we have a pretty scary group, two bond traders, two investment bankers, a firm attorney...needless to say, between the .interesting, 4 years ago, 1/2 of these guys did something not on the street...talk about explosive growth on wall street) , a top bond trader at Shang Hei Bank, has a killer laptop with Bloomberg. Now I have played with bloomberg before, but I have got to tell you that the fundamental and extensive news it offers is fantastic. You should see what that costs via. the internet. probably pricy but for someone doing 40 tickets a month or more, might be worth it. I don't think its that great for staring at a monitor and noticing change but the news, earnings, analysts, instit.holding of a stock, etc. research was amazing.

ANyway, note the 900 million dollar fine coming down today on a number of Nasdaq firms for price fixiing. This will confirm what I have been saying about these mm's and their practices. You might want to go the the nasd or sec site and get a copy of the finding. INteresting reading. I usually find the examples they give outrageous.

See ya' all in 1998!
