You're wrong. Most skeptics aren't doing it for big bucks or often for any bucks.

But there are a host of companies making big bucks off green regulations and they're underwriting the green movement. Buffet - second or third richest man in the world - one of his companies invest in windmills and he admits it's only because of the tax credits, his railroad makes big bucks hauling oil that would be cheaper shipped by the pipeline Obama has blocked. Billionaire Elon Musk has two companies that only exist because of green energy incentives. Vinod Khosla, billionaire venture capitalist who has renewable fuel plants all over that taxpayers underwrite. Big ag companies like ADM are into ethanol. GE is another one and the entire solar and wind industries.

Big oil hasn't supported climate skepticism for over a decade. They realized people would think their money was self-serving so they stopped. Big oil actually spends much more underwriting green programs and orgs than skeptic ones.

And natural gas drillers are often happy to use green regs to kill off their coal competition. A big investor in wind farms in TX is Boone Pickens. He knows wind and solar need natural gas as backup to be feasible. So wind and solar actually promote natural gas use.
