Well, Delbert, I can't believe that you are skeptical of the Noah's ark account, without having done some investigating on your own.
There is evidence of a worldwide flood. Don't take my word for it. I found the books and read about it for myself. I saw the photographs, and read the accounts of finding layers of silt, as deposited by a flood, at the same level/time, in locations all around the world.
Has it ever occurred to you that: If God is real, and if the Devil, a creature whom God created and who rebelled against God, is also real:
That some sources of news and information on this planet might be sources which are manipulated by that hopelessly proud rebel?
The information isn't going to come to you without you doing a little work and research on your own.
But be honest with yourself when you do so (though that is exceedingly difficult, because the heart is deceitful above all things) and evaluate whether you are being objective or whether you simply gravitate toward sources that tell you what you want to hear.
One book I've read, during the past few years, was by a linquist who has studied languages all over the world. He has found that, in examining the folklore - the oral history - of peoples all over the world, that by some strange coincidence they have accounts of a flood that sounds like the flood of Noah's time.
Reminds me of the FBI's recent grudging admission that maybe, because over 100 witnesses, who don't know each other, saw a light go from the ground/sea level, up to the TWA flight, that maybe it was shot down by a missile, after all....
Maybe, without even digging into the earth to find evidence of silt deposits from the account of the flood can be adequately verified from the world-wide folk tales, in languages of people all over the world, of a huge flood that happened long, long ago.
But the silt deposits exist.
