I know that COLA is stringently pegged to inflation, Gene, as does everyone else in this forum. You missed the point entirely, but since you brought it up, why is it stringently pegged to inflation? The answer is that it is pegged to an inflation index as a "fair" way to help control budgets.
The truth is that the inflation index does a very poor job of capturing the real increases in the cost of living for consumers, etc., but Clowngress ignored that aspect and said, "Fu¢k you," to retired military, retired Federal service, and U.S. social security recipients in the Omnibus disaster, while handsomely rewarding illegal aliens directly, as well as the leftist "sanctuary cities" that sponsor them!
Are you aware of how often that huge battles are waged in Clowngress over COLA? It is virtually a year-in, and year-out battle! COLA is always on the chopping block, and we are told that entitlements (they always leave out the 'earned' part there) are a burden to America, yet they found plenty of money for illegals!
Again, why do illegal aliens deserve anything other than deportation, Gene? And your side wonders why Trump enjoys the support that he has!
The POTUS and Congress should freeze every asset and every penny of illegal alien money on U.S. soil and in U.S. financial institutions. Tell them they will get half of it back when they return to their places of origin along with their anchor descendants. The remainder will be used to offset the tremendous problems that they cause for our country. |
