| | | Thank you, John, for that suggestion... the Civilian Response Corp would most definitely NOT be politically correct... I thought of the idea when I saw this recent film about the gangsters in the 20's and 30's, it was a recent film but set back in that gangster time with bootlegging and numbers running and so on... to combat the gangsters, a police department formed a squad that operated outside the rules of typical law enforcement, no rules, just get the job done... they were to investigate and punish the gangsters on their own turf in the way gangster would punish their own... they effectively eliminated the corruption, I thought the idea was spectacular...
I saw that film about a year or more ago, but now with the elevated terrorist risk for all of us, I thought this kind of squad on a national level would be perfect... the idea eventually morphed into what I see now as a nationwide Civilian Response Corp designed and trained to be the trained first responders in public threat situations... to qualify, no arrest history, no moslums, and so on, a very politically incorrect outfit to meet the coming threat on the terrorist level...
Unfortunately, I doubt such a Corp may ever be created beyond this thread, and what a pity it would be if not... if elected, I hope Donald will do it or do something like it...
During wartime, there are underground citizen resistance groups, so why not an above ground citizen resistance group...
