Barrick and Placer doing nicely today. On Y2k: I've been trying to explain to my family and friends what is involved. (Not easy). My parents are computer cavepersons. I keep saying: Imagine a day without supermarket scanners, ATM cards, credit cards, power. Even though I think Y2k may be slightly overblown, the impact of 5% noncompliance is staggering.
