Brian, I referred to the S&P because even the semis will not be immune to a breakdown in the general market. Regarding AMAT, the danger lies in viewing the pullback from a ridiculous high as a buying opportunity. There is still too much risk out there for my taste. I am a long term bull on the sector, though. Short term I'm a definite bear and am carrying a short position + puts into the holidays. Merry Christmas (I liked your tree) Robert
