That's true in many ways. And yet... Seattle has one of the strongest economies in the world today. I am so tired of road closures and cranes everywhere. But it sure beats the Detroit outcome.

I have noticed far more street people in the Seattle area this year, I'm sure drawn by the economy here and the hope of services, which have been severely cut in Washington State the past few years.
