For a good proxy on how NORT will do in '98 look at WZR (Wizer Oil's) 3Q press release. It also gives a bit of a hint in NORT's Q4 since there is a 1 month overlap (September).

WZR is planning an aggressive drilling campaign in Texas for '98. They also stated that their production in '97 was low due to the shortage of contract drilling rigs.

In FY96 WZR and Shell Western E&P accounted for 42% of NORT's revenue. If anyone can find any info on Shell that would be helpful. I don't know the breakout of the 42% between the two firms.

Buying back some NORT, she's too cheap at these levels.
