I cannot imagine how a person can make this statement at all. One would have to be so committed to the partisan precepts put forth by Paul Krugman, or just plain ignorant, to believe this.

You could, of course, just think about the extreme case of a 1% LFPR and tell us what effect you think THAT would have on the economy.

The economy is driven by production. And people not in the labor force are not producing. Until you understand this simple fact, I wouldn't expect you to comprehend the importance of LFPR.

While you have no apparent propensity to understand the subject, I think if you will look into the LFPR changes broken down by age category you will find a substantial increase in the nonparticipation rate among non-retirement aged persons.
