The woman who drove over pedestrians in Vegas .. naturally, to liberals she was a victim and the incident was society's fault. If only, this country had a safety net ... but the Wepubwican meanies won't let us. American is a a stupid crazy country who forces poor people to commit mass murder:

I think that poor woman who ran over all those people simply went insane from the stress of trying to survive. I saw a clip from a few years back, where she was doing better, but mentioned that she had gotten off of the streets then. So this is just another case of our social safety net having been torn to shreds over the last 40 years by the Republicans, and the Democrats unable to figure a way to counter their destruction.

If that woman had a place to go in Las Vegas, a sanctuary, where she could get a shower, eat a hot meal get a good nights rest and have some shelter, I am sure none of that would have happened. We have adjusted to this homelessness and poverty in a way that is frightening and shameful.

It burns my ass to see guys like Warren Buffett and Bill Gates and the super rich running around as models of success, Bush throwing away $5 trillion, all the while half the kids in the country are living near the poverty level and homelessness is pandemic, lack of healthcare, and general
social services are lacking everywhere. all due to the Republicans!

Just imagine, how much we could have helped the poor in this country with $5 trillion. We are a crazy, stupid country, and it is made worse, by the fact that we are adjusting to the social neurosis that surrounds us and the craziness that has been put forth by the Republicans for 40 years e.g. trickle-down economics, stupid war on drugs, Horatio Alger myth, no global warming, government is the enemy, and on and on.

Eventually our society may figure out that the human toll for ignoring the homeless and mentally ill is too high- or they won't, and we'll have incident after incident. Despite their penchant for getting stiffies when they even imagine an Islamic crime, the wingnuts seem curiously able to ignore the death toll caused by non-islamic killers. It's a puzzlement.
