The incident happened at a McDonald’s restaurant at about 12:30 p.m. local time in Miami-Dade. Witnesses told the station it started when an older man yelled at another customer, telling him that his order was ready. This led to an argument that escalated, witnesses said. “[They were] talking stupid to each other, then [the suspect] took out the gun and said, ‘I’ll kill you right now,'” witness Wilder Smith told WSVN. The victim was hit in the arm, but walked away from the hospital and refused treatment, according to reports. Customer Jorge Martinez said he made a beeline for the bathroom as soon as bullets started flying. “I busted a left I went straight into the bathroom and I locked myself in,” he told WSVN. The suspect was taken into custody by police. The McDonald’s restaurant closed, but later reopened. A glass door was shattered by bullets, WSVN reports.
