In a filing with the SEC on December 22, 1997, Lawndale Capital Mgmt filed a 13-D with over 5% of the shares of Quality Systems, Inc. (O-QSII), a Tustin CA-based company that develops and provides computer-based practice managment systems for medical and dental group practices.
In addition to its dominance in the dental marketplace, Quality Systems has wholly-owned subsidiaries, Clinitec Intl and MicroMed Healthcare Inf. Sys. that develop and provide electronic medical records systems and enterprise practice mgmt systems, respectively.
