This is an obviously biased report to try and bolster AMAT.

Are we both reading the same article? The article I read had comments which suggested several analysts were cautiously optimistic about the short to mid-range prospects of AMAT. Only the analyst at the end came out and said you should jump on the train before it leaves the station. Looking at their 12 mo. price targets, I am surprised they would be Bullish at all. This just confims my opinion that analysts are NOT forthright in disclosing info. They IMHO, do not see $40 or $41 as a ceiling for AMAT over the next 12 mos. They, again IMO, are quite certain it will be much higher than this. The discounting of FY99 earnings must begin around the May timeframe. Unless we are led to a worldwide depression and nobody needs IC's, the 300mm upgrade will begin in earnest in '99.

Happy Holidays To All,

Brian
