To all: I just finished reading the book WAVES OF POWER -- THE DYNAMICS OF GLOBAL TECHNOLOGY LEADERSHIP 1964-2010 by David C. Moschella, Sr. VP of Research, Computerworld Inc. It appears that SGI is very well positioned for the "power shifts" described in the book. For example, on p.153 there is the following figure: Figure 9-2. An expanded range of haardware devices. : Technical workstations : Personal computers : Enhanced video games : Cable TV set-top boxes : Web TV adapters : Personal digital assistants : smart phone SGI must be one of the few companies whose technology covers the whole range of hardware platforms. Anyway, if any of you pick up this book as holiday reading, I would like to hear your comments. ... Happy holidays.
